Wedding Day Bliss!!!!!
Dreams and Expectations !
This is the day that every young bride has waited for, that special day that changes the course of your life forever. But picture-perfect weddings don't happen by accident. They require planning, forethought, and most of all, originality.
A Wedding is a Celebration !

Gold rings were circulated as currency in ancient Egypt. When a man gave a woman his ring, it meant that he trusted her with his property. Under Roman law, the ring was a sign of security. In the 1800's, the diamond ring - symbolizing innocence, matrimonial happiness, wealth, and everlasting devotion - became popular for engagements.

Wedding bands are worn on the third finger of the left hand because of an ancient Egyptian belief that a vein ran from that finger directly to the heart. Another belief, dating back to the 17th century, is that, during a Christian wedding, a priest would get to the fourth finger (counting the thumb) after touching the first three fingers and sayin, "in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost".

The Gown !
White wedding gowns were first worn by Victorian brides to indicate that they were wealthy enough to wear a dress only once. But even when white came to symbolize purity, the dresses were often worn more than once. In the early 20th century, brides wore their wedding dresses on special occasions throughout the first year of marriage.

"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue..." This familiar wedding custom is steeped in tradition. Something old signifies continuity, a bridge between the bride's old life and her new one. The bride might wear a piece of jewelry from her mother or grandmother. Something new represents good fortune, success, and hope for the future. A bride's wedding dress can represent something new. Something borrowed should be lent from a happily married friend in hopes that the happiness will rub off. This could be jewelry or an item of clothing. Something blue denotes purity, fidelity, and love. Today the garter is often trimmed in blue.
